October Marks National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

National Breast Cancer Awareness is a time to think about regular screening that can help find breast cancer early, especially for women who may have no symptoms. When this type of cancer is found early, patients have more options for treatment and a better chance the treatment will be successful.

In 2024, more than 360,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer. But there is hope. Advancements in early detection methods and support continue to increase the chances of survival. When caught in its earliest, localized stages, the 5-year relative survival rate of breast cancer is 99%.

But early detection for all is only possible through action.

Mama B’s Pizzera will be raising funds & awareness for breast cancer survivors through the month of October. With our fundraising efforts we are helping breast cancer survivors by giving them an opportunity to receive a sponsorship to obtain the 3D areola tattooing and re-pigmentation and/or breast scar lightening and camouflage.

Mama B’s is dedicated to supporting breast cancer survivors through their journeys.

As a breast cancer survivor myself I know insights into the profound effects of breast cancer on women’s lives and we would like to offer breast cancer survivors the support they need with the final piece in healing, hanging onto traumatic and/ or physical insecurities.

Mama B’s Pizzeria is partnering with Dr. Kyra McElroy (PhD) with Med Ink who faced her own cancer diagnoses at a young age and then again as a young mother. Her passion to help breast cancer patients regain their confidence and to feel empowered is unmatched.
